Yes. The vast majority of our customers benefit from the interim federal health Program (IFHP). Donations from the public and other funders allow us to offer free therapy to people profoundly marked by their experiences.

If this is a case covered by the full range of services offered by the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP), including sponsored refugees in their first year in Canada and refugee claimants awaiting status; please note the person’s IFHP number (client identity – UCI), and provide a medical prescription detailing symptoms. This will allow us to be funded for IFHP follow-up.

“Organized violence the purposeful and systematic use of terror and brutality to control individuals, groups and communities.  The use of overwhelming force leads to fear and a sense of powerlessness among the victims.  Its methods include causing severe pains and suffering, killing, intimidating, threatening and in some cases destroying a community, ethnic group or political opposition.  Government usually direct military, police and political organizations to perform organized violence, or those groups may act indecently in the persecution of specific individuals, groups and communities.  Opposition groups may also terrorise and brutalise civilian populations in order to gain power, causing fear and social disorder..”
