We offer free mental health services to help individuals heal from the psychological wounds inflicted by organized violence. Our programs are designed to support refugees, asylum seekers, and their families as they navigate the challenges of rebuilding their lives.
Psychosocial Interventions
Assessment and prioritization of psychotherapy applications.
Guidance for individuals and families based on their needs, directing them to community or institutional resources.
Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy (for adults, adolescents, and children) or group therapy: a supportive relationship; craft activities.
Massage therapy
Massage therapy for adults impacted by organized violence, upon recommendation by their therapist.
Training for stakeholders – community and institutional
- Tailored sessions, defined according to the needs of stakeholders, related to trauma, torture, or secondary trauma.
- Support for stakeholders wanting to improve specific skills when facing tough situations.
- Co-development sessions
Access to RIVO Services in Three Steps
Our service is mainly for the asylum-seekers a pending status, and sponsored refugees during their first year in Canada, which are covered by the interim federal health Program (IFH).
Reference
Provide the reference form the RIVO, a medical prescription for psychotherapy with the diagnosis of the person, and a copy of the document of the claimant.
